Herborn, is and has always been a town defined by a multitude of commercial activities as you may see to this day when you visit the vibrant old town market squares bustling with life.

All the half-timbered houses have a history of their own and were renovated with a lot of love for every little detail, thus acting as "living" as well as "lived-in" witnesses of days gone by and contributing heavily to the charming atmosphere of the town.

Although not a big city, Herborn clearly ranks among Hesse’s top destinations. Herborn has a special air about it, people like it here whether during the day or by night when all the half-timbered houses are lit with the beauty of hundreds of magic lights.

The remains of the town’s fortification with the well-preserved towers should pique the interest of visitors just like the "Dillblick", a tower offering a lookout over the entire town built in 2016.
